Two generations, one standard.
Our family has dealt in natural diamonds since 1989. Pasavaja is the house the second generation established on that foundation in 2019, and the standard has not moved since the first day: describe the stone accurately, and let the buyer decide.

The house
Ethics & Transparency
We take pride in what we are
For more than three decades, we have built our reputation on a foundation of ethics and transparency. Everything that drives our business today is because of the values instilled by our ancestors. We are a small team of highly enthusiastic individuals who love diamonds and admire their timeless beauty more than anything else. Through our Diamond Education Initiative (DEI), we take immense pride in providing unbiased diamond education and guidance to our clients.
A trade name, carried forward
PASAVAJA is named for our great-grandfather, Shri Parshottamji Vajjechandji, whose trade name in the late 18th century was "pasa-vaja." In early 2019 we registered Pasavaja Gems LLP, carrying his name — and the ethics that came with it — into the business we run today.

- 1989
Mahendra Shah arrives in Mumbai
A decade of work in the trade leads him to start dealing in small-sized diamonds — Star, Melle and parcel goods.
- 2019
Pasavaja Gems LLP is registered
The second generation formalises the family trade under the name it carries today.
-
Harsh completes his GIA studies
After 18 months in Surat mastering planning, sawing, cutting and polishing, he earns his GIA Graduate Diamonds diploma.
-
Heer joins, and the house expands
Trained by cutters in Surat, Heer leads the move from loose diamonds into bespoke jewelry.
Today the same standard runs through every stone we list: describe it accurately, ship it insured, and let the buyer decide.
What we hold ourselves to
Every listing matches its laboratory report. Where an image is representative rather than the stone itself, we say so.
Every colored stone carries a laboratory report before it is listed.
Price on request means a real conversation, not a hidden markup.
Our guides are written to be useful even if you buy elsewhere.
